What exams can I practise on iTests?
iTests is an exam practice site for major international English as a foreign language examinations. On the website, you can do practice tests for KET, PET, FCE, CAE, IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL exams. Additional international and local exams will be developed and added to the site on an ongoing basis.
KET, PET, FCE and CAE are popular Cambridge ESOL examinations for general English. IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL test academic English and are accepted for university entrance across the UK and other English speaking countries. TOEIC is often used by companies as a tool to measure English proficiency during recruitment.
Why do I need to register to do free tests?
iTests stores your grades and answers for each practice test that you take. When you log in you can return to any test that you have previously done to view your answers. The progress charts calculate average scores for the exam and individual parts of the exam so you can identify areas of difficulty at a glance, as well as show your performance across different attempts at the same part of the exam.

Which parts of my English exam can I practise?
iTests currently allows you to practise the Listening, Reading and Use of English papers of the exam. Automatic marking of Writing tests will soon be available.
How do I do exam practice on iTests.com?
Once you have registered or logged into the site you will arrive on the iTests page. You can see the exam has been divided into small test parts. Some of these are free, and can be opened by clicking on any

button. Follow the instructions on the screen to answer the questions. When you finish the test, submit your answers and you will see your score.

Do I need to pay to use iTests?
We give everyone who registers on iTests.com some free practice tests so that you can try out iTests. After you have done your free tests you can then buy the other parts of the same exam, or take the same exam part on the other tests available to compare your scores across the different attempts. You can then choose to buy an individual part, a paper (for example, Listening), or a whole exam (for example, the whole FCE). If you buy a paper or whole exam you will receive the parts at a discounted rate than if you paid for them individually.
The prices are shown on each of the buttons for an individual part, paper or whole exam. Please note that prices are subject to change at any time. You can view the prices of the tests in Euros (€) or US Dollars ($). To change the currency, use the drop-down menu on the left side of the iTests screen. If you have a credit card in one of these currencies, we advise you to use the same currency to buy iTests. Once you have made your first purchase, you will not be able to change your currency.
How do I buy exam practice on iTests?
Click on any button with a price on it

to buy that part, paper or whole exam. You can pay for tests in three ways: pay for individual tests, add credit to your iTests account or use an access code.
Pay for individual tests: The first time you click on a test button with a price on it

, you will need to enter credit card details and confirm your purchase. You can choose to save your credit card details in our secure card environment so that you don’t have to re-enter them each time you want to take another test.
Add credit: You can add some money to your account by choosing the currency and amount of money and clicking the

button in the yellow box on the left of the screen.
When you add credit, you will need to enter credit card details and confirm the payment. Parents may choose to use this method to provide a limited amount of credit on their child’s iTests account. When you have credit on your account, you can then buy some test practice by clicking on a button with a price on it and you will need to confirm that the cost can be taken from the credit on your account.

When I buy a test, do I need to complete it immediately?
When you buy a practice test the blue test button

will change to a green take test button

. The test is now active for you to take but you do not need to complete it straight away. If you buy several parts of the exam in a single purchase, you do not have to take all the tests together. You can take each test individually when you have time.
Can I take a practice test more than once?
Yes, you can reset your scores and retake tests that you have already taken from the My Scores screen.
Can I pause a practice test and complete it later?
All of the tests are timed to help you prepare for authentic exam conditions. You will be informed when the time finishes and you will have the choice of submitting the test and receiving an accurate score, or continuing with extra time to complete the test. You will not be able to pause the test or the audio on any of the listening tests.
Do I need to be online to do the practice tests?
You do not need to be online while you are doing a test. However, you do need to be online before you submit your answers, so that your scores can be saved. If you try to submit your answers when you are not connected to the internet you may lose your work.
What happens if my internet connection fails while I am doing a practice test?
If you have not submitted your test for grading then it will be available for you to start again once your connection is restored. If you have already submitted your test for grading then you can go back and review your answers as normal.
Can I save the practice tests to my own computer?
No, the tests are not available for download. You need to complete them on the iTests.com website.
Are iTests available in paper format?
No, iTests are unique tests which are not available in any book.
What cards do you accept?
We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discovery credit cards.
Are my credit card details safe?
iTests.com uses a secure system to encrypt the information you send to us. This prevents anyone from using the information you send over the Internet during the purchase process. Once we receive your private information, we store it on our secure servers. Your credit card information is only used for purchases through iTests and will not be shared with other parties.
How do I see my answers and my scores?
You can see your answers at any time by clicking on the

button on the iTests screen for that part of the exam. You can also email your results to your teacher and print your scores out from the My Scores screen.
Each time you take a test, your score will automatically be added to the My Scores page. The first chart shows a summary of your performance on your whole exam and gives you an indication of how you will perform in the real test. You can view your average or highest score for all the practice tests you’ve taken, or you can see your most recent score.
For more detail, you can also see your progress on individual parts of the exam. Click on the

button next to the part of the exam to see a chart of your performance for each time you have taken that part. In this view, you can click on the date or the progress bar to see your answers on that particular test. Use the

button to return to the first chart.
How do I change my details?
You can change your exam level, password or country of residence on the My Account page. Don’t forget to save your changes.
You can make changes to your saved credit card information before you confirm any purchase.
What do I do if I forget my password?
If you have forgotten your password, click on the “forgotten password” link in the log-in box. Enter your email address and a password reminder will be emailed to you.

How do I close my iTests account?
If you would like us to remove your details from iTests and close your account please email us at
itestsupport@pearsonlongmansupport.com to let us know. If you do not log in to iTests for more than 12 months, your account will be automatically closed.
